Excellent skiing area in the Val Venosta Valley

Smooth winter sports

Welcome to one of the highest situated and year-round inhabited places in the Alps! So what does that mean for you? Well, that snow fun is guaranteed from December to April here! Far from the crowded slopes and toboggan runs, in Vallelunga you can explore quiet winter forests, climb glittering peaks and whizz down varied slopes.

Ski tours for everyone in Val Venosta

Put on your skis and head for the summit: surrounded by mighty three-thousand-metre peaks, the Vallelunga Valley is ideal for your ski touring adventures. Vast landscapes, lonely peaks and the best conditions until spring make for unforgettable experiences - whether on challenging tours or excursions for beginners.

Leave tracks in the snow

Whether you leave fresh tracks in the untouched snowfields or are out and about on groomed hiking trails: Here at the end of the valley you will find the optimal starting point for winter and snowshoe hikes. Admire the peaks glistening in the sun, the icicles on the rocks and the winter forests in all their white glory.

Cross-country skiing right outside the door

Imagine you only have to take two steps outside your door and you can already strap on your skis: A varied cross-country ski trail is waiting for you at 1912 m above sea level. There have already been competitions here and yet it has remained a little insider tip. Of course, there are other cross-country skiing trails to discover in the surrounding area.

Tobogganing fun for the whole family

Combine your winter excursions with a thrilling toboggan run! In Maseben and on the Ochsenberg, wonderful natural toboggan runs await you. Whiz down through wintery larch forests to the valley. The 8 km long Bergkastel toboggan run is also located in the Resia Pass holiday region. The starting point can be reached on foot or by cable car.

The most beautiful ski resorts of the Val Venosta Valley

Our valley has its own little ski resort: Maseben is perfect for all those who long for quiet fun in the snow. The family ski area Schöneben-Haideralm with a view of the frozen Lake Resia is a bit more lively, as are the slopes and fun park in Nauders. The ski bus takes you directly from Alpenjuwel to the Schöneben-Haideralm ski area.
